Moulana Fazal Ur Rehman recently said come strange words about the presence of Blackwater (Xe) operations in Islamabad. Moulana said that here are more private security contractors from Xe, formerly Blackwater, operating in Islamabad than capital police.

Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman is  the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) a Deobandi political party in Pakistan, said that there were  round about 9,000 Xe contractors working in capital city Islamabad, he compared them with just 7,000 capital police force, Pakistan’s News International reports.

The PTT spokesmen said that the attacks in the Lower Dir District of Pakistan’s North-West Frontier province last week killed U.S. personnel, claiming the attack was an act of revenge against Xe contractors operating in the region.

Richard Holbrooke, the U.S. special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, confirmed the deaths were U.S. military personnel but denies their there connection with Blackwater/Xe and declared the Taliban claims as propaganda.

Their deaths are the first known U.S. military fatalities in Pakistan.

Moulana Fazal blamed foreign contractors for instability in Pakistan, saying they undermined an already weak democratic government. He equated Xe contractors with the insurgent Taliban.

Jang the leading newspaper also reported this news that these US persons are the agents of Blackwater but Pak as well as US Government denies.

Fazal during a weekend meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari said an immediate halt to military activity in the tribal areas would bring normalcy to the region.
