Apple was on the top of the news, recently Apple lost its iPhone 4G, that was not a good news from Apple but yesterday Apple announced good news that the shipping of iPad 3G will start to customers (who pre-ordered iPad) on Friday, April 30, and iPad will be available at same day on Apple Stores. This announcement ends the mystery of availability of iPad 3G to its customers.
Last week there was a rumor that iPad 3G pre-orders will not be available until May 7, 2010, due to which most of the customers think that iPad shipment would be delayed. Apple official statement responded to those stakeholders by assuring that those customers who had pre-ordered the iPad 3G in March will get their iPad 3G shipments in “late April.” But Apple did not provide shipping date.
Apple announced that the iPad 3G will be available in Apple Stores starting at 5 p.m. local time on April 30,but didnot mention any time of of availability of iPad 3G at other retail outlets such as Best Buy.
Apple also confirm internationally launch of iPad by the end of May in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. International pre-orders for these countries will start on May 10, but Apple did not provide any pricing details.
Apple announced earlier this month that the company had sold over 500,000 iPads less than a week after the Wi-Fi-only version became available at retail stores across the U.S. Pre-orders for both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G iPad models began March 12, 2010.
Lets wait for announcement of international availability of iPad and WePad.
