Why all our efforts fail???? Answer is very simple. We are not following the path of the Prophet (PBUH) whom Quran described as “Sirajum Muneera” We are not using the most efficient ways!
Muslims at the time of the Prophet (PBUH) suffered a lot initially. Who can forget the treatment rendered to the Prophet (PBUH) when he visited Taif. And who can forget the strict and most cruel sanctions and social boycott of Shoaib Abi Talib incidence.
The Prophet (PBUH) did not waste time and energy. He used these assets most judiciously. He derived his strength from his Iman, Salah and good deeds. His efforts were to correct and reform human beings and once these human beings were corrected in sufficient numbers then every thing fell in place. He and his companions were attacked as their influence grew and he had to engage in wars to remove those elements from power who were a great hurdle in bringing peace and justice in the society. However prior to armed struggle he had very strong faithful with him l like those were not seen by the sky before.
The Prophet (PBUH) was not overwhelmed by social works and was not overtaken by day to day problems; however in his personal capacity he did not ignore his family and his society. He help Jews, Christians and Pagans in their difficulties. His life was a perfect balance. He married and had children and yet devoted a good part of his nights in worshipping Allah Ta’lah. Whatever Quran he received he remembered by heart by special favor of Allah Ta’lah and receited that in five times prayers and in long hours of prayers at night.
What we are witnessing that even supposedly good Muslims and parties championing the Islamic cause badly ignore Salah, let alone other aspects of Islam
You see the gatherings of Muslims voicing for this and that cause; good and genuine causes but when time for Salah comes, very very few of them go to Masjid for Salah or even make Slaah on the road. We have seen so called great scholars and leaders of Islam and those who claim to follow the Sunnah and the path of companions taking interest, misinterpreting interest in order to justify it and doing so many other things. As a result Muslim Ummah is deprived of true leadership.
In Makkah a small team of sincere companions was developed and so was the case in Madinah. Once there were strong Muslims who strictly followed Quran and Sunnah, the history took a new and magnificent turn. And soon paradise was established on earth as promised in Torah and Injeel (Now distorted in the form of Bible).
We have to follow the path of the Prophet (PBUH) in letter and spirit. Mere lip service is not enough. While the Prophet (PBUH) and companions understood every word of Quran which provided them immense tranquility and strength, believe it or not there are individuals and Jamats which run away from understanding of Quran like wild donkeys from lion. How can they have success?
