Lava emitting Volcanoes on earth are known by every Human being since ancient times. But the under water volcanoes were discovered nearly three decades ago in the base of Pacific Ocean. Numerous volcanoes have already been discovered in various seas. Some of these are continuously emitting different gases and lava from their mouths. These emitting gases, lava and enormous hot water of volcanoes play an important role in nourishing the lives of biological species under uncertain circumstances. Biological experts get a lot of information about the sea life through studying the creatures present around under water volcanoes.
“Cayman Trough” is present in Caribbean Sea near Went Indian islands. There are lots of volcanoes present in this trough. A British Research Team has discovered a volcano in Cayman Trough which is present under the depth of three kilometers. Before it, all the under water volcanoes which have been discovered previously were present at a distance of two kilometers beneath the sea. This newly found volcano is alive and continuously emitting hottest lava from its mouth. A team of National Oceanography Centre situated at Southampton was trying to search a new volcano in Cayman Trough through robotic submarine. This team under leadership of Doctor June Copley, got success on 6th of April when Cayman Trough searching Robotic Submarine send wonderful information about a lava emitting volcano present under a depth of three kilometers. After preliminary information, the research-team sent another robotic submarine to the bed of sea for getting detailed information and shooting its movie. The latest camera and other equipment attached with this submarine got information about the lava emitting from volcano besides shooting movie and getting snaps of the scene.
Some metals of copper and iron were included in the lava entering from volcano into sea. Whereas the temperature of surrounding water of lava was sufficient enough for melting a lead under deep.
According to Doctor Copley, the temperature of lava was 270 °C. Through the camera developed film, the experts saw very strange and unique biological species around the volcano. Research team is hopeful that they will discover new species of sea animals and plants under deep waters of sea through this expedition.
