I do not know how much increases have been made in number of military personnel. But India (second biggest) deployed nearly one million military personnel in Indian occupied Kashmir having a population of barely five million. Indian army is engaged in crushing peaceful freedom struggle and has several hundred leaders have been arrested. Freedom fighters are labeled as terrorists and unarmed protester are killed by indiscriminate firing. Complaints of arson and rape by arm are there.

In Pakistan (sixth biggest military) nearly half a million personnel are deployed in fighting Alquida and Taliban militants and terrorists on the borders of Pakistan and Afghanistan .Nearly 3000 service personnel have been killed
by suicide bombing and other terrorists attacks, As there are over two mill lion Afghan refugees in Pakistan it becomes hard for Pakistani Police and soldiers to find the real terrorists hiding in disguise and getting support of extremists of right wing parties. But many analysts say that Indian Raw is funding the terrorism in Pakistan and Indian Consulates in Afghanistan are assisting them surreptitiously.
