Senator Jamal Laghari of PML-Q disclosed on geo tv talk show that it was with the help of former President Musharraf that ANP leader Asfand Yar Wali went to USA and assured them to defeat MMA in NWFP province and is understood to have received several million dollars as aid under the table form secret funds to launch his campaign against MMA as well as Talibanization.

On the other hand MQM is accusing ANP of supporting land and drug mafia and armed smuggler in Karachi and to incite riots in Karachi in order to divert attention from their failure to improve law and order situation in their own province.
