Nokia N8 Review:
After a number of great products which excelled in their features, Nokia has now launched its new phone Nokia N8. Apart from other features the N8 excels in still photography quality. Nokia has come up with one of the best cameras for its new handset Nokia N8.
Nokia N8 comes with a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen with support of 16M colors, Wi-Fi, uPnP, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD card slot and microUSB port. The phone comes in Dark Grey, Silver White, Green, Blue and Orange colors. Nokia N8 Price is pretty high for the local Pakistani market and one who is interested, should be prepared to suffer the nifty damage to their pockets. Before we tell you the exact price, we would like you to think over it and make a guess, scroll it down to a point where we have mentioned the price and see whether your guess was right.
Design:
The new Nokia phone comes in a sleek and stylish design. The phone comes in some good and slim dimensions. It is 113.5 mm in height. The phone is 59.1 mm wide and has a thickness of 12.9 mm. Though, 12.9 mm would seem a bit thick as compared to today’s standards but the features are worth it and 3.5 inch display justifies it further well.
On the right side is a volume controller, a shortcut key for lock and another shortcut key for access to camera. On the opposite side are a microSD card slot and a slot for SIM. This isn’t a good option as the slots are both opened with the help of doors that get fiddly to use but this helps in adding an overall sleek look to the phone. On the top are a charging port, a TV out and a standard 3.5mm audio jack covered with a shutter door. The rear of the body has a superb quality camera.
The phone is well packed with most of the latest technologies. One thing really isn’t good is a non-removable battery. The battery is fixed into the phone with the help of screws. Nokia has made a statement that the mobile will not be affected by freezing bugs as it used to get before so removing battery isn’t really necessary now. The phone fits nicely in hand and a non-removable battery cover adds to good impression of sleek design. Nokia N8 takes my vote when compared to the Sony Ericsson Aspen Review you can check out both reviews and figure out for your self. The over all look, feel and functions seem better than Aspen.
In N8, its frame is coated in anodized aluminum and according to Nokia it is resistant to scratches. It may be true but when it comes to the side lock, the lock starts to loose its color after some time.
Telephone Experience:
The phone provides an excellent experience to the user and has a good user interface. The phone provides a good voice quality and the users at both ends don’t complain anything about it.
Phone Management:
The phone has a good quality memory and the phone comes with practically unlimited phonebook entries. The phone also keeps detailed call records for a maximum of 30 days. The phone comes with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. The phone has internal memory storage of 16 GB and can support microSD cards which can help to extend memory up to 32GB.
Multimedia quality:
The phone is equipped with a very nice and fast media player, it is a lot more better than the previous phone which we covered here Nokia C3 Review. The media player provides fast scrolling through the list of tracks and artists. The media player has utilized the processor in a good way. The media player works well with the large screen and provides a good quality video playback. The videos run smooth and look great on a large screen.
The phone also comes with stereo FM radio with RDS transmitter. The phone also comes with FM transmitter. The phone also supports a TV output when plugged in with a TV out cable.
Images and Camera:
Nokia claimed that the camera is the best as compared to any other phone of the world. This claim is almost correct as it surely is the best although there may be a better camera. N8 comes with a 12MP camera with Xenon flash. The camera gives superb snap shots having a great clarity. The pictures are rich in color, crisp and highly detailed.
The video recording is another great feature and the recorded video is 720p HD and the video quality is also clear and the shooting speed is an impressive one.
