Quaid-i-Azam University was first established as University of Islamabad under an Act of National Assembly passed in July, 1967. The University was renamed as “Quaid-i-Azam University” in 1976 at the time of centenary celebrations of the Founder of Pakistan. The University is recognized in Pakistan and abroad as an Institution of higher academic standards and its graduates receive acceptance in universities and research institutions the world over.

The University has also established research collaboration with selected universities/research organizations in United States, Europe and South Asia. The University is rated as one of top public institution of higher education in Pakistan which has qualified team of teachers and researchers. More than 80% of the teachers hold doctoral degrees with experience of working in renowned universities of the world. The University has the distinction of having a large number of distinguished scientists and educationists as its faculty members, holding national awards and international recognition.

Note : Results Awaiting Students are allowed to apply subject to the condition that they must provide result cards before displaying of First Merit List.

• The priorities/preferences would remain intact till the applicant gets admission against his/her first priority/ preference OR finalization of the admission process, whichever is earlier.The dues/fee paid by the applicant according to the earlier merit list would automatically be shifted/adjusted if his/her name appeared in the subsequent list (s) against the filled priorities/preferences.
• In case of incorrect/misleading information or concealment of facts, the University will have the right to refuse/cancel the admission and expel the student from the University.
• The applicants are advised to fill the priorities/preferences carefully because once filled the priorities/preferences would not be allowed to change/shift under any circumstances.
• No call letters will be sent separately.
• Data of all the applicants will be available on the University website (www.qau.edu.pk) on 28-07-2010.

• The Admission Section of the University will remain open on Saturday & Sunday during the admission process.
