Altaf Hussain’s call for taking action against corruption and exploitation by feudal is laudable but the way proposed by him is questionable. But he is right in saying that Supreme Court can order army, rangers and police to take action for implementation of their decisions.
His declaration that he will not support martial law is welcome but his incitement to people affected by floods to take over properties of feudal is unlawful. Even if military supports that kind of revolution, it will cause worst bloodshed and
anarchy and violate the constitution as well as Sharia..
His saying that for corruption Zardari should not be singled out is understandable. He did not mention that Zardari has been in Jail for over 8 years without any proof. It is worth considering if the Swiss court really had fined Mr. Zardari and his Shaheed wife and confiscated some money, how they could be considered to be eligible for any post in the parliament.
Action against all the corrupt politicians, civil servants, profiteers and other anti-social elements should be taken and special courts should be formed to deal with the corruption. Action against those those who had taken money from ISI for forming IGI to defeat PPP and should be taken and how they become plutocrats after joining the camp of the Military dictator.
Altaf Bhai has left people guessing on whose instance he is saying these things. Some say it is to thawrt the danger of Judicial cum Military coup and some say it is to discredit army and the government. Some say it is another gimmick to gain popularity among common folks. In the past his opponent labeled him Pir Bhai.
