Update 16/8/2010:

It is notified for information of all registered Hajj Group Organizers for Hajj 2010 and the general public that in view of the prevailing heavy rains/floods, in most parts of the country, the last date for submission of Hajj Application forms under Private Hajj Scheme (i.e., through Hajj Group Organizers) has been extended upto 26th August, 2010. This will provide relief to the general public of the affected areas in submission of Hajj Application forms. As such, all the HGOs are advised to deposit their Hajj forms within the extended date. However, those HGOs who have completed their booking should not wait for extended date. Saudi Embassy is strictly going by the book.

Update Saturday, 21 August 2010:

Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi on Thursday categorically said that the Hajj fares announced in the policy-2010 would remain intact and termed some media reports about reduction in air travel charges “misleading”.

“There is no reduction in Hajj fares. Each intending pilgrim will have to pay Rs226,000 to get a flight from Karachi and Quetta, while those from other stations will have to pay Rs238,000 as per earlier announcement made in the Hajj policy on June 3,” he said while talking to APP.

Update 26-Aug-2010: Waiting List Story (Thanks to Mr. Abdul Basit)

Dear All,

My Parents also found themselves in waiting list, I am in touch with the Ministry of Hajj, and almost contacted him on daily basis. Initially they were saying that, Wait we have asked Saudi Govt. to increase in HAJJ Quota by 5000.

Total 2000 to 3000 persons are in waiting list, so there may be a chance after getting Quota from Saudi Govt. to adjust waiting personals.

but today, as on 26-Aug-2010, I again call to Ministry, they are now saying Saudi Govt. is not answering and we dont know now whether they will increase the quota or not. So if any one in waiting list wants to refund their money, they just contact to concern Bank from today.

This is the complete story of Waiting list people.
