Lake Saiful Maluk is one of the beautiful and historical places in Pakistan. Saiful Maluk is located at the end of Kaghan valley. Saiful Maluk is near Naran which is also one of the famous places of north Pakistan for its beauty. Saiful Maluk is located in the north east of Mansehra District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Saiful Maluk is amongst one of the highest lakes in Pakistan.

We can easily reach at the lake by travelling a distance of 14kmfrom Naran. The way to Lake Saiful Maluk is easily accessible during the season of summer. The walking distance of Lake Saiful Maluk from Naran is about 4-6 hours. The water of Lake Saiful Maluk is quite pure and clear as crystal. The color of water present in the lake is of slight green tone. The water of the lake Saiful Maluk is gathered from multiple glaciers around it. At day time the temperature is quite pleasant and people can enjoy it by simply visiting this place. At night the use of heaters and blankets is normal because its temperature falls till minus degrees.

The name Saiful Maluk contains a fairy tale beyond itself which is written by the famous sufi Mian Muhammad Baksh. It is a story of love that a king of Persia fell in love with a fairy princess at the lake Saiful Maluk. The impact of the beauty of lake is of such extent that people still believe that fairies come down at the lake Saiful Maluk in the full moon.

There is also a poet from Balakot named as Ahmad Hussain Mujahid. He has also written the story of Saiful Malook, the name of the prince. His first edition of his famous book Saiful Malook was published in 1999.

Lake Saiful Maluk has been ranked as the one of top best tourist destinations in Pakistan; however since 2005 earthquake the region is less visited by the tourists. Lake Saiful Maluk is 3000 thousand feet above the ground level of Naran. Lake Saiful Maluk is full of colors and spread beauty all around itself.
