Shan Foods is the leading exporter of food products from Pakistan. A formal press conference was held recently for announcing its most recent achievements. Numerous products from Shan Foods have recently received International “Superior Taste Awards-2010” in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium. Hundreds of companies from 80 countries were evaluated for the Superior Taste Award. Superior Taste Awards are presented by the “International Taste & Quality Institute” (iTQi) – a global food evaluation organization.

The founder and Chairman of Shan Foods Mr. Sikandar Sultan, who personally received the awards in Belgium said,

“At Shan Foods it is our foremost belief that consumer-focus in all areas of business helps us create consistent quality and authentic tastes to win the consumers’ hearts. Shan is the only company from Pakistan to win the iTQi awards in 2010. We are proud for earning a good image for Pakistan during this critical geo-political phase. These awards will also elevate the national spirit on the upcoming Independence Day of Pakistan.”

Shan’s products are exported to more than 56 countries all over the world, including the highly developed and quality-conscious markets of Western Europe, North America and the Middle-east. Numerous recipes from Shan including the Oriental mixes have been awarded with the Superior taste awards.

iTQi is dedicated to testing and promoting superior tasting food and drinks from around the world. For this purpose it selects judges from the 12 most prestigious European culinary and sommeliers associations, such as the Maîtres Cuisiniers of France and Belgium, Academy of Culinary Arts, Hellenic Chefs’ Association, Académie Culinaire of France, Verband der Köche Deutschlands, Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe, the Federación de Asociaciones de Cocineros of Spain, Federerazione dei Cuochi Italiana, Portuguese Chefs Association, Årets Kock of Sweden, Euro-Toques and the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).
