Western Union has waived its charges for sending money to Pakistan

Western Union contributed in Pakistan Flood relief effort by charging ZERO amount on all the money sent to Pakistan. This will really help to motivate  Expat Pakistanis to  send their donations to Pakistan. I’ve been using Western Union service for two years and I found it very simple and reliable. This is a limited time offer started from 12th August 2010 and will be ended on 12th September 2010.

Money can be sent from any western union agent location in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom as well as select countries in the Middle East including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Western Union has teamed up with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), a non-profit organization that responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. They will contribute $100,000 towards disaster relief efforts to help provide basic human relief efforts such as safe drinking water, access to sanitation facilities, clothing and temporary shelter through International Rescue Committee (IRC) response teams actively working in Pakistan. I am currently using it, and i think its much better then receiving cheque. Their exchange rate is bit low than actual rate. (Normally in Pakistan their is a difference of approx Rs. 1.50/-) But you get the money immediately.
