The rumour of imminent change of faces in the government is whirling strongly in the air now-a-days. I have two questions in this regards. Can any one give any answers?
My first question is: will the public forget today’s desperation due to alleged lack of governance and the cry every where “where is the government”, and unquestionable agree (as agreed after the failure of previous two tenures) to the PPP’s time tested claim, which would certainly come as aftermath of the rumoured change, that the establishment did not allow it to govern the country according to its ‘golden principles’?
My second question is: if at all any change comes sooner or later, will that bring any considerable, visible and tenable change in the psyche of the rulers and ruled of this unfortunate country? Will the changes of faces bring any change in the fate of the nation? Will this make the nation more objective, more productive, more disciplined, more sensible, more focused on the goals, and less wasteful, less pretentious and showy, less aimless, less self-centered and self-interested? Any answer available to any one?

Installing honest and capable people at important posts in different cadre of the federal and provincial governments is the great problem worsened by delay in getting the new local bodies governments to function. City and Divisional Level governments should have greater responsibility and powers for policing and taxation preferable on uniform pattern on all provinces. Planning for new provinces to solve problems of South Punjab, Hazara etc, rural-uraban divide in Sindh and ethnic divide in Baluchistan.
We also need a National Security Force coordinating with police and MI in tracking down terrorists and corrupt elements. Let us have some James Bond type intelligence men.
