The World Bank increased its aid to Pakistan

The World Bank has increased by $ 100 million financial assistance to Pakistan to help cope with flooding, bringing the total to $ 1 billion, the bank said Wednesday in a statement.

“The World Bank wants to help the people of Pakistan in this time of need, and has made available a sum of one billion dollars to finance projects with the most immediate and the longer-term reconstruction,” says Bank President World, Robert Zoellick in the statement.
