Cricket Semi Final Loss Mystery – India Vs. Pakistan

First of all my introduction is important, I am a Pakistani and a Canadian national for the last more than 30 years, my profession is analysis and troubleshooting, especially business and general life dealings. Since the incidence of world trade center disaster my interest in worldly affairs raised and I started focusing in this direction. I am sure my ability will interest and benefit our nation. Please also note that I wish to stay anonymous till the time is ripe.

I wish to comment on our nation’s perception of analysis, we as a nation do not comprehend the techniques of analyzing and thus fall in weird complications. I want the media to develop a practice to present every activity close to reality. I believe the media is in the process of developing and thus need serious improvement.

Before I start, I just want to mention here that our nation is trapped in very serious complications, we do not know what is right and what is wrong. Why I am saying this? I will make you all agree.

Think about it, for the last many years we are badly stuck in this terrorism dilemma, thousands of Muslims are killed by our enemies around the world, particularly in Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq, Afghanistan etc, and now in Pakistan. Our country is painted red in blood, the whole nation is in the middle of war, devastating situation made us mentally incapable of making any right decision. Our front liners of the nation do not know what they are trying to prove and are just trying to salvage their own interests.

The whole nation, including media, the Government, intellectuals, all the agencies, businesses, organizations, corporations, Government and private, Lawyers, Doctors and each and every professional, are completely in chaos. Most of the talk shows are worthless to watch and every intellectual is talking senseless, this I will be proved a little later.

The fresh example of my message is recent world cup semi final between India and Pakistan.

With all the above mentioned devastating effects, our nation never united together as we did in the world cup semi final. The whole nation was totally subdued to Allah asking HIM the victory on a mere game, which has no value compared to loss of valuable lives. Isn’t it wise to unite for the damage we are suffering, rather than valueless world cup, I believe if we had realized the suffering and made some efforts, we would have won the world cup. I also believe Allah will not pay attention on sports victory as it does not mean anything to HIM.

Now let me come to the main reason of my message. To my analysis this game raises many questions and I wish you all to answer. I request you to put these question to cricket experts mainly Shahid Afridi, I am sure he wont be able to answer, and that due to known reasons. I firmly believe that Pakistan team is far better than Indian team, and in my opinion the maximum runs they could have made, is 200, but unfortunately Pakistan had to give them this match and the reasons are unknown and can only be analyzed, Allah knows the truth. The questions are listed below:

1.      Why  Shahid Afridi constantly used Umar Gul, although he was intentionally bowling in favor for the batsman? (8 over 69 runs no wicket)
2.      Why there was no enthusiasm in the team? Especially in fielding (drop catches)
3.      Why Shahid Afridi did not perform to his ability? (10 over 45 runs no wicket)
4.      Why they did not go for the power play? (power play could have saved the captain too)
5.      Why Misbah did start playing his game at the losing stage? Although he could have accelerated little earlier.
6.      Why at one stage Misbah was playing with great difficulty, and at another stage he was playing very confidently and smoothly?
7.      Why the team did not perform as it did in other competitions?
8.      Did the team play according to its ability and skill?
9.      Etc.

I will answer these questions according to my analysis and request you all to consider what I have concluded. In my opinion this game was intentionally given to India. Allah has blessed enormous ability to our nation and I believe that when Allah blesses one a particular ability and it is not utilized then failure is inevitable.

The real core of Pakistan loss is hidden behind the peace talk visit to India.  As we all know the politicians of India are desperate to show some success to their nation, they even tried to make some arrangement with Pakistan to play a false game with Pak Army after the Bombay incidence, but wisely Pakistan did not agree. Now this was an opportunity for Indian politicians and thus requested Pakistan to help them by loosing this match, which will upgrade their value in the eyes of the nation. Since Pakistan and India are having peace talks at the same time, they made a deal, by giving some and taking some, I am sure they have taken the match victory but what they have given in exchange, may be the time will tell itself, as the nature of false perish and the truth prevail, this is law of nature.

May be my theory is unreal, but I request you all please explain me the reason of loosing, keeping the poor performance and the questions listed above in mind.  Being a sensible person I will never believe that the game was fair and India is a better team.

In view of the above I wish to mention that there are many issues I wish to express, and I am sure they are much closer to reality than our conventional style of media analysis practice.

Thanking you in anticipation and waiting for a quick response. Jazakallah.

This is some of the most pathetic things i have ever heard. We Indians are the ones who make the greatest progress in the economy, our people are known to be the top educated. Many of the worlds richest men, are Indian, and you are trying to say that we are desperate to show some success?

Beeing a poor loser, is what I will call the attitude you have.

I wasted my time while reading this..U dont have any mind its just like a kid i think even a kid cannot analysis this game like this and trust me i just dont have time to give ur answers because ur questions are stupid and analysis is stupid.During afridi over tendulkar catch was droped…so u can blame fielding or bowling but not both plzzzzzzzz be mature .

Mr.Canadian….some how i do agree with your first part(we should get united in every field) but your remaining part totally disagrees your own first part. on the day of semi final the whole nation stood togather spitting over their discriminations and differenes, this is a simple answer to you question Value of World Cup…your analysis has diverged to the opposite direction ..all your questions are immature. We realise Misbah played slow so that is the reason he stayed on the wicket till the end ..If he would have also played with the ssame pace like the others,he would have gone earlier..i have got lots of answers to your questions but useless to answer..

Mr. Silly Canadian, You are a disgrace to pakistan. even if paksitan lost, it lost with their heads held high. when they didnt complain, why are you whining and cribbing like a 10 year old. if you dont believe pakistan can lose, then go shed some of your false ego, we pakistanis never take defeat sportingly. even my colleagues are blaming it on the “dew factor, and 2nd innings bowlers are lucky, or tendulkar’s 5 lives etc’. that’s so cheap. any team can win or lose on a given day. the team that win’s the world cup may not be the best team after all, because they haven’t played some teams in the tournament like Ind vs New Zealand, or Pak vs South Africa. so please people, be a sport. there’s nothing to be ashamed of, stop being a cry baby. Congratulations India!

I find the second part of the articles the biggest load of crap, I have ever heard. I feel great that my forefathers did not decide to live in a Polarised country like Pakistan.

And remember you got beaten by a better team!

Agreed to this extent that Pakistan team has given the match to Indians. Otherwise result must be different.

  9. Ayesha says:

firstly i disagree that Allah will not pay attention to anything like world cup…all the nation was praying..and it was not just the cup it was more than that!
secondly i don’t know about other questions you have asked, but yes there was something there, to me it wasn’t lack of enthusiasm but sort of pressure i cannot understand why our team would be pressurized..something that was vague but it was there..however, i have strong belief that every happens for a reason..that match was not ours and that’s it we accept it…and i would not believe captain or team is involved in any sort of fixing!..but there could be other external factors i cannot deny!

  14. Cricket Lover says:

Hi Cricket Lovers, I can clearly see the love for cricket in all of you. That is actually love which we sometimes express in shape of frustration. But for God’s sake, this is not a movie “LAGAAN”. There were definitely some elements in semi final match which surely develop doubts and concerns but whatever we say is still, just speculations and assumptions. We are taking 4 drop catches very seriously but my dear fellows, if you remember, Pakistan team has dropped a good number of catches throughout the tournament. It didn’t raise any concern in our mind because they won the matches. The catch of Sachin behind the wicket is also out of equation because we all know that Kamran isn’t a good wicket keeper anymore. Umer Gul’s performance was really a big question mark and it should be, because he bowled exceptionally well throughout the tournament. So, in my opinion, Umer Gul’s poor bowling cannot be excluded from the equation of doubt. Hafeez was well set and his short selection was so poor that it creates a valid doubt but dear friends, go back and watch the previous matches; you will find that these players had wrong selections, rather silly shot selections, even in other matches. But again, since we watched this match so critically, we were catching at even minor thing. Misbah’s batting was also miserable and in my personal opinion will remain mystery. He is not a kind of batsman who has so many dot balls in his career. He looked like blocking the end and not even giving a chance to the batsman at other end. But before doubting him, lets thinks for a moment that he might had instructions from the captain that he has to retain his wicket, no matter what. When Afridi came to play, I didn’t find even Afridi saying to him anything about his batting style. So, it means that he was instructed to remain a mountain and he was following a certain plan. But Misbah’s attitude on the ground is definitely questionable because the player of his class don’t act like this. People talk about Power Play too. Dear mates, things don’t always go according to the plan. Power Play doesn’t make a huge difference if players are not tend to stay on the crease. Again, all these are just personal opinions but my personal conclusion is this that Umer Gul and Misbah must be questioned on their performance so that we could know what’s the reality. I am a Pakistani myself and it definitely did hurt when we lost Semi Final but don’t forget that India is without any doubt has come up as much refined team than Pakistan in last few years. ICC ratings tell the story. Some people are also talking about Match Fixing elements…….Ummmmmmmm I wont say anything about it until something is really disclosed. So, chill pill fellas. Dont doubt the integrity of players unless we have solid evidence. Semi Final is history now. Pakistan has talent, without any doubt. We surely don’t know how to really manage it. If we have good management, this team can do wonders, without any doubt. And please my Paksitan and Indian brothers, always show respect and love to each other. Don’t forget “Charity begins at home”. Let’s look forward having more frequent cricket between Pakistan and India so that we enjoy the cricket at its best Good Luck !

Its really BIG shit. You wasted my time!!!!

  17. You are totally wrong Mr. Canadian!! I think you got money from India To do all this shit or you may be an agent!! We believe our team played more then they could throughout the tournament… But game is game. ok India won because india played better game than Pakistan!! no matters we lost.. day will come INSHALLAH when we win win and win!!! so keep struggling!!

  18. Abbas says:

I’m sorry to say this but our Pakistani nation has become totally shameless and is always ready to accept defeat in everything which is why most of the people are disagreeing with this article and are alright with the defeat. We are shameless and corrupt just like our leaders as it is in the famous quote which states that a nation is known by the leader it has. I am definitely sure that we gave the match to india just to create peace between the countries. We could have easily won the match as it can be witnessed by Misbah’s preformance towards the end of the match and also by the silly shots played by our batsmen. No doubt we fielded terribly with other teams like Sri lanka and Newzealand but we had improved A LOT in our most recent match against Australia. We should have fielded just like that. I don’t care if anyone agrees with me or not but I think that our leaders sacrificed our victories and licked Indian government’s feet just for peace and Allah know what else. Even though we have separated from India but the Indian influence is still there present in everything of our’s. After all we are the children of the bloddy Hindus and Sikhs so we will always consider them our fathers and bow in front of them. We lost the meatch as always JUST to please India. We will keep on bowing in front of India and the conditions in the country will keep on worsening as long as our youth will carry on being a wannabe and beghairat youth who is vey much impressed by Indian culture. And also as long as we keep on electing Nawaz Sharif, Musharraf, Alatf Hussain and Zardari. We need to give Imran Khan a chance as all those corrupt and beghairat leaders have gotten several chances. But I don’t think we’ll ever elect Imran Khan ‘caue we don’t deserve him. We deserve Zardari ’cause we are just like him.

Thanks to all mates, I was really expecting criticism on my article as there are many who do not understand what they are reading, they should know that reading a message is very technical, one has to have a capability to understand what the writer means and not just respond to the matter.

For example some of them felt I am critiquing the players, which I never did, some feel I am unable to accept defeat, yes you are right I do not accept defeat until I achieve victory, and that is one of the key reasons west has achieved success.

Before I go few replies of my article show the mental capacity of our writers, instead of discussing the subject further, they started disrespecting the views and to me those kind of people need to look things by wisdom, not by the minds only.

Once again thank you all and I really appreciate your comments and I did not waist my time to read your criticism.

    Stay in touch.
