Britain is wrestling with a serious rise in the number of Muslims contracting HIV. One medical expert says that the stigma of having the virus is causing needless deaths among the community in the UK. This is very serious health issue for Muslim Community from all over the world.

Imanae Malik is a 3 year old child of Aqeel Malik of Lahore, Pakistan. On November 29, 2009 at 3 am in the morning Imanae, spilt hot water on her wrist. Her parents immediately took her to “Doctors Hospital and Medical Center” in Johar Town, Lahore. They don’t know they are going to lose their child. At Doctor’s Hospital DR. SANDEEP KUMAR was on duty and he gave her three injections containing high doses of anesthesia due to high dosage she (Imanae Malik) died in 3 minutes in her father hands.(Her father wrote the whole story you can read it here)
After this Imanae’s family launches drive against doctors’ negligence. Her Father says a lot of lives can be saved by acting consciously instead of keeping mum. As part of the campaign, the family has started putting up billboards across Lahore portraying a picture of Imanae that reads, “I died because of criminal negligence of the Doctors Hospital.”
The boards were initially put up on three roads in the city – Defense Main Boulevard, Qaddafi Stadium and Shama Chowk – and the family plans to expand the campaign to other places across the city.
The billboards also give addresses of websites dedicated to the awareness campaign and follow-ups of the case. It is for the first time in the country’s history that the family of a victim of alleged medical negligence has publicized the issue through billboards and the Internet, press conferences, emails and text messages. Ministry of Health, PIMS (Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences) and IPDF (Infrastructure Project Development Facility) have decided to expedite the work on the two pilot projects. Projects include the development of Center for Liver Disease and Organ Transplant and establishment of National Institute of Dentistry.
In this regard a detailed meeting was held recently in Islamabad between Ministry of Health, PIMS & IPDF to discuss the implementation and execution of both projects on PPP (Public Private Partnership) modality.
The Center for Liver Disease and Organ Transplant will be the first such dedicated facility of its kind in Pakistan with an estimated cost of US$6.25 million. Liver diseases and mortality rates from liver failure are amongst the top causes of death in Pakistan. Currently there are no dedicated medical institutions which provide advanced treatment options to manage such diseases. Continue reading »
Swine flu is a contagious viral respiratory disease linked with pigs. Symptoms include fever, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. According to statistics, common seasonal flu kills 250,000 to 500,000 people every year worldwide, far more than the current outbreak of swine flu. So why has there been so much fuss about this flu in recent months? To understand this we have to go into the background of this disease; its links with the pharmaceutical industry, the fallout in terms of public health, its academic and other associations with WHO, and political echoes in the corridors of power.
It all started in 1976, when Private David Lewis at Fort Dix became ill with symptoms suggestive of flu. Instead of taking complete rest, which is essential in flu otherwise there is a very small risk of sudden heart failure; he left his sick bed to go on a forced march. During the exercise, he collapsed and died later despite his sergeant giving him mouth to mouth resuscitation. Four of his colleagues also developed the symptoms but they recovered completely and the sergeant who gave him mouth to mouth did not contract the disease. The samples taken from the throats of the soldiers came back from the Centre for the Disease Control (CDC) confirming swine flu. The director of the centre was Dr David Sencer. He was a tuberculosis epidemiologist and had held the post since 1966. Unconfirmed reports suggest that he had close relationship with a known pharmaceutical company involved in making virus vaccines. According to reports, after contacting a few specialist doctors (most probably with the help of the company) and without going through the set procedures of analysis, he compared the swine flu with the notorious flu of 1918, that resulted in over half a million deaths in the United States, as well as 20 million deaths around the world. Was he under the influence of powerful but friendly company or was he naive about the consequences will never be known. All we know is, he created tremendous panic among the public and hastily devised a swine flu program at a cost of $ 137 million which led to the vaccination of 40 million people. Continue reading »
Every body has tested flu not once but several times in his/her life span. Some people are flu lovers and they catch the flu several times a year! Either flu catches them or they catch the flu! Their nose becomes red; they run temperature and feel aches, pain, lethargic, weak and fatigued! They cough and sneeze and spread the virus through air or handshakes.
Most flues cure themselves. The body has many mechanisms to deal with them and to get rid of them. We do not require vaccines against them. Little rest, a hot cup of tea (umm!) and perhaps a tablet of aspirin or paracetamol (Whatever you like and suitable) is all that need.
However when human intellect and greed interblend and combine with powerful pharmaceutical companies and American Armed Forces Institute by the name of “Center for Disease Control”, the things change. The material eye (The human and ethical eye is of course closed) gets sparkling. Mere thought of making zillions of dollars in selling these so called vaccines make them alert, active and ‘smart”!
Most media in the world acts as parrots and monkeys. They just repeat what they hear and they just act like what they see acting others without slightly bothering the gray cells of their brain. They throw out what others have already chewed for them. They perhaps know that it is the safest course. If they started thinking; their foreign trips (paid of course through the blood and sweat of the poor through so called aids; in reality loans with heavy compound interest) will be cancelled and they will be deprived of this and that grants, scholarships (of being most obedient puppy) and green bucks!
