The Apple iPad 4 is a tablet device made by the Apple Corporation. It was announced on October 2012 and released for sale on November 2012. The device runs on the iOS 6 operating system which is upgradable to iOS 7.1.

On matters of its hardware, the device has the much talked about Apple A6X chipset, a dual-core 1.4 GHz CPU and a PowerVR SGX554MP4 (quad-core graphics) GPU.

The Apple iPad 4 weighs a good 652 g (1.44 lb) which to many might consider quite heavy. In terms of its dimension, the device measures 241.2 x 185.7 x 9.4 mm (9.50 x 7.31 x 0.37 in). Clearly, from its predecessors, there is some tremendous improvement that is included in the iPad 4 such as high resolution graphics, a super-fast predecessor, faster Wi-Fi connectivity plus the Siri voice recognition which works as Apple’s Intelligence Assistant.

The Apple iPad 4 comes with a LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colours display which has a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels and a pixel density of 264ppi. The display has multi-touch capability and has scratch-resistant glass plus oleo-phobic coating for protection.

The Apple iPad 4 does not support external memory card but is available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of internal memory storage which of course, has a different prices for each size. The device also has 1 GB of RAM; however it does not have GPRS or EDGE but supports WIFI connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity and USB v2.0 connectivity.

The primary camera of the Apple iPad 4 has 5MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels,an autofocus with geo-tagging, touch focus and face detectioncapability while its secondary camera has 2MP, 720p at30fps with face detection and face time over Wi-Fi.And as for its video capability, the device also offers 1080p at 30fps videos with video stabilization feature.

The iPad 3 has a non-removable Li-Po 11,560 mAh battery. The battery offers stand by up to 720 hours and talk time of up to 10 hours.
