NEW YORK: The largest social network Facebook Buys WhatsApp. Facebook has acquired the leader of internet messaging service on mobile WhatsApp for $19 billion.
This is the record ever acquisition of a firm by the social networking giant and WhatsApp will kept working as autonomous company just as Facebook did it with Instagram, which was bought around $715.3 million.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that the combination of Facebook and WhatsApp will create a new history in internet messaging over Smartphone and Tablets and it is aimed to target many more people round the globe to stay connected.
