History of Ramdan
If you ask for Ramadan definition, Ramadan is an Islamic month and in the Islamic lunar calendar Ramadan is the 9th month.For a Muslim Ramadan is considered as the “best of times”. If you define Ramadan, this month is said to be a month where blessing of Almighty come down to the earth on the believer specially a Muslim fasting during the month of Ramadan, restricting himself from every evil deed. O you who believe! fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may guard (against evil).
For a certain number of days; but whoever among you is sick or on a journey, then (he shall fast) a (like) number of other days; and those who are not able to do it may effect a redemption by feeding a poor man; so whoever does good spontaneously it is better for him; and that you fast is better for you if you know.
Whoever of you is present in the month, he shall fast therein, and whoever is sick or upon a journey, then (he shall fast) a (like) number of other days; Allah desires ease for you, and He does not desire for you difficulty, and (He desires) that you should complete the number and that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for His having guided you and that you may give thanks.
The month of Ramadan is filled of blessing due to many important Islamic events that were held in Ramadan.
- The most important event is that ‘The Holy Quran’ was revealed on Prophet Muhammad SAW in this holy month of Ramadan.
- Doors of heavens are opened and doors of hell are closed.
- Devil is caged in the holy month of Ramadan, from the first day of Ramadan till the last day of Ramadan.
- Duas (prayers and wishes) are accepted in the month of Ramadan
- The Night of Power is in the month of Ramadan commonly referred as LailaTulQadar

Ramadan starts after the Islamic month of Shaban and if you as when is Ramadan over, it is when the next lunar month starts i.e. Shawal when Muslims celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr which is also called the Feast of Breaking the Fast.Out of all the deeds and worships in Islam only fasting is what Almighty Allah asks for himself.
