Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Cuts Arms Of SMS Gurus

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has envisaged a policy to block SMS exceeding 200/15 limit to apply a fair usage policy of bulk SMS packages.
According to the new policy, SMS service of a user will be terminated in case of sending more than 200 SMS in 15 minutes duration.
The user will have to submit an affidavit to reopen his blocked service and this restoration will only be done once
On the second violation, the service will be blocked on the permanent basis.
However, it is still to be announced about the time when this policy will came into effect, but it has become a cause of worry for the SMS lovers in Pakistan for before its implementation.
The new policy of PTA is also aimed at stopping the unnecessary ads SMS which irritates the users and the authority has directed Telecommunication Companies to develop such tracking systems to make this policy works.
